Store Policies

We request that customers follow CDC guidelines.  We also ask that all customers and staff continue to maintain social distancing.


You may return any new, unused, and unopened item within 30 days of purchase with a receipt for refund or store credit.  (Exclusions to this rule and are not returnable are the following: clearance items, dog diapers, and special orders) Seasonal returns: Seasonal items may only be returned within 4 days of purchase and at least 10 days prior to holiday.

Open Food Returns:

All of our food brands have a 100% satisfaction guarantee.  Therefore, you can return any unused portion of dog, cat, bird, fish, or small animal food if you are unsatisfied with that food within 30 days of purchase for store credit.  You must have a receipt and the bag the food came in with at least ½ of the food remaining in the bag.

Price Matching:

We will gladly price match any product we sell to any other pet supply store’s current in-store price within 15 miles of our location.  We do not price match to online prices. Proof of the competing store’s price may be provided by a current printed ad or we can call the store to verify if you do not have written proof. 

Competitor’s Coupons:

We will gladly take any other pet supply store’s current commercially printed coupon if the store is located within 15 miles of our location.  We will NOT take competitor coupons valued at more than $10, are for free product, or valued at more than 10% of the purchase. We also do not take competitor’s online coupons or email coupons due to the vast amount of online fraudulent coupons. You may only use one Hound’s Meow OR Competitor coupon per day per household, you cannot use both. We also reserve the right to refuse any coupon

Manufacturer's Coupons:

Only one manufacturer coupon per item is allowed.  You can use both a store coupon and a manufacturer coupon as long as the total purchase after all other coupons and discounts have been applied adds up to the purchase amount that the store coupon requires.
